At B&B, the #1 priority is and will always be safety.  We care about our employees and it is our goal to ensure our employees return home as healthy as they arrived at work that day.  It is the mission of B&B to provide a safe environment for our employees, subcontractors, customers, and the community.

We have made the commitment to supply enough resources, including staff, money, and time to ensure that all employees are protected from injury and illness.  B&B always complies with the safety programs of our customers. Every applicant is tested during the pre-employment stage to maintain a drug and alcohol-free workplace.

There are several methods to our safety training. For example, weekly toolbox talks are conducted by the supervisor on each job site, and our new hire orientation covers basic safety topics including:

  • Back Safety/Lifting

  • Compliance with OSHA and VOSH Standards

  • Confined Space Entry Program

  • Equipment Training & Licensing

  • Fall Prevention/Protection

  • First Aid & CPR

  • Fork Lift, Scissor, and Boom Lift

  • Hazard Communication

  • Ladder Safety

  • Line Break Procedures and Policies

  • Lockout/Tagout Program

  • NFPA 70E Arc Flash Training

  • OSHA 30 Certified Project Managers

  • OSHA 30 Certified Supervisors

  • PPE Including Use and Inspection

  • Substance Abuse Policy

  • Written Hazard Communication Program

  • Zero Hot Work

Safety Committee

Our safety culture is driven at all levels of the company, from ownership, to management, and the field employees.  B&B maintains an active safety committee that actively targets issues pertaining to employee and job safety. The committee meets monthly and is comprised of a sampling of employees and managers.
