PROCESS CONTROL SYSTEM -
FLUIDIZED BED STEAM BOILER SYSTEM
This
control system was developed for a 400-hp. wood fired steam boiler at a hardwood
mill that claims to be the largest of it's type in the United States. Integrated
with existing equipment and state-of-the-art controls is a PC-based control
system running on the Windows NT platform with the DeviceNet network
communication protocol. This system also has remote monitoring capabilities
through a dedicated modem. The control system handles all aspects of the process
from fuel metering and draft control to alarming and reporting functions.
